This document was published in February 2014 as a point-in-time reference of e-cigarette technology and regulatory status in 2013.  It outlines the history of the e-cigarette, describes the components used and the chemical and physical processes involved in e-cigarette use, and gives an overview of regulation in the European Union, the Americas and Asia-Pacific region.
