Analysis of Variability in Curing Conditions and TSNA within Barns of Dark Air-Cured Tobacco
Reference Report - Study Grant Final Report
TSNA levels can vary tremendously between samples collected within the same barn leading to questions about the spatial variability of curing conditions within air-cured barns and how well the variation in conditions correlates to variations in TSNA accumulation in the cured leaf. To investigate this, a study was undertaken that entailed the placing of data loggers at regular intervals throughout two different barns and analysing cured leaf samples for TSNA levels.
