The tobacco aphid, Myzus nicotianae Blackman, was commonly parasitized on tobacco plants, Nicotiana tabacum L., in greenhouses but rarely in the field. Five species of primary hymenopteran parasitoids were collected from greenhouses; only one primary parasitoid species, Aphidius nigripes Ashmead, was collected from field plots in eastern Tennessee during 1988 and 1989. At least six species of secondary hymenopteran parasitoids were found associated with the primary parasitoids. A checklist of species or genera of primary and secondary parasitoids is provided.
