Receiving sheets of untied tobacco at auction warehouses with use of a powered belt conveyor

A powered belt conveyor receiving system was designed and developed for moving sheets of untied tobacco from the farm truck across the scale to the forklift. An 8-man crew can operate the system and floor tobacco at a rate of 176 sheets per hour at a cost of 27 cents per sheet. About 200 of the systems are in commercial operation.
