A new method for analysis of sulfur in tobacco was established by determining the experimental conditions necessary for sulphate and barium ions forming into even and stable barium sulphate plasma sol in water-acetone medium. The RSD of this method was below 3% and the recoveries of sulfur were from 97% to 102.6%. The contents of sulfur in some tobacco leaves were determined.
